could not in good conscience ask for money locally. “I
contacted many other churches during this time asking for May 5: Family Camp Day
help” he said. The response was amazing, with last year May 22: Released Time Appreciation
being the best year on record for donations. “Where we Dinner
normally have around nine thousand dollars available for
scholarships, this year we had nearly twenty thousand!” he
exclaimed. There is currently money available for children *Event Requires Pre-registration

Just last year during Hurricane Irma there were many thou-
sands of people who fled their homes in Florida to escape
the storm. Many ended up sleeping in their vehicles in rest
areas in our state. During this time Pastor Eggert received
a call about the numerous people here who had no place
to go. After approval from some Camp Grace board mem-
bers, permission was granted for some of the evacuees to
stay at the camp. “We had as many as sixteen people at a
time staying here for a three-week period” said Eggert.
This also became a time to share God’s word.
On April 14th Camp Grace will host a “Family Fishing
Tournament” in their lake. All are invited to participate,
and pre-registration is required. “Currently our lake is re-
ally overstocked” said Eggert. Due to this fact any fish
caught during this tournament may be kept. Please make
plans to come out to Camp Grace for some great family
time and some good fishing.
