Though social media provides constant interaction and is
beneficial for the business, Graham said that his goal is for
customers to keep their phones in their pockets, to really
connect in person. With the daily paper always available
to leaf through, and stacks of magazines lining the window
sills, there is no shortage of reading material. There are two
guitars sitting out, available for anyone who wants to play,
so the waiting process at Bearded Goose will never be dull.
Graham said “As soon as you sit get in that chair, there’s no
time limit.”

The other barbers who work in the shop are Chas Wilder
and Corban Ehmke, and Graham said no matter whose chair
you sit in, the end experience should be exactly the same.
“We all do things a little differently, but the end product, I
want it the same.” Treating the customers well, pampering
them, taking care of them, no matter how it’s phrased, is
what brings people back: “You’re only a customer once in
here, after you sit in one of these chairs one time, you’re a
client.”
