Culinary student wins ribbon


                           at N.C. State Fair





                                                         Christopher R. Westerberg, of Cameron, a student in the Central
                                                      Carolina Community College Culinary Arts program, was a winner in
                                                          the North Carolina Pecan Association Pecan Breakfast Recipe
                                                       Competition at the recent North Carolina State Fair. He finished third
                                                       in the competition with his recipe, “Pecan And Apple Stuffed Crepes,
                                                       with Pecan Whipped Cream and Pecan Brittle.” To learn more about

          Four Central Carolina Community  College  Basic Law En-
          forcement Training cadets graduated during an Oct. 22 grad-
          uation ceremony at the CCCC Harnett Main Campus in Lil-
          lington.

          Graduates were Tracie Champlin of Coats, Joseph Nelson of
          Dunn, Jeremy Seff of Holly Springs, and Crofton Stephenson
          of Angier.

          Several of the graduates were recognized  for outstanding
          achievement during their training. They were: Fastest Police
          Officers Physical Abilities Test (POPAT) – Chase/ Apprehen-
          sion – Jeremy Seff; Fastest Police Officers Physical Abilities
          Test (POPAT) – Rescue – Jeremy Seff; Jimmy Collins Top
