You can help, too. Mama’s House of
Thrift needs donations of items to sell
in the thrift store and volunteers to do
everything from sorting clothes and
stocking shelves to helping with grocery
shopping nights and delivering food.
Volunteers must be vaccinated for CO-
VID-19 and clear a background check.
Children are welcome to volunteer with
their parents. To donate items or vol-
unteer time, send an email to MHOT-
[email protected]. A schedule for dona-
tion times is still being developed. Stay
in touch with MHOT on Facebook for
donation announcements and news.
The store currently has a full selection
of furniture, clothing for men, women
and children, a vast book and media in-
ventory, cosmetics and beauty supplies,
jewelry, shoes, toys and much more.
MHOT will accept donations of items
in these categories; if you have some-
thing you are unsure about donating,
just email and ask.
Monetary donations are also accept-
ed as well as gifts made through on-
line shopping and funding platforms
such as Amazon Smile, https://smile.

While the pandemic brought much grief
and uncertainty, a bit of good news has
come with the arrival of Mama’s House
of Thrift, filled with faces both familiar
and friendly.
Rod summed it up: “While we are not
new to Harnett County, our new home in
Lillington is more centralized to all the
communities we serve. We have been
welcomed here with open arms and are
very excited to be here in this new loca-
tion.”
